You should check out blockbuster online. Instead of mailing them back you can take them to the store and use the envelope like a coupon for a new free movie! Amazing!

We just joined Netflix not too long ago. We're on the two movie plan. Please understand, it doesn't mean two movies at a time, but rather two movies per month total. That's right, two movies a month for 5.99.

Here's the problem: This puts tremendous pressure on our selections to be unreal, as these two rentals must provide a month's worth of movie entertainment.

So what happens? The first month, my wife f'ed up our queue so we received Pirates of the Caribbean. Not only was it the original version from 6 years ago, (not the sequel just released on DVD in December that we hadn't seen) but we actually own this movie on DVD as well. Standard. In the history of Netflix, a movie has never been opened, and put immediately back into the return envelope so quickly.

I will acknowledge that Netflix does add a new level of excitement to getting the mail. Even while typing this, I'm curious to see what outdated movie from 2001 will show up in our mailbox this week. Don't be surprised if I file for divorce one day citing "irreconcilable differences stemming from mismanagement of the Netflix queue."
